This is why I watch less and less news lately. If all I listened to was news I'd have a nervous break down. __________________

Not watching the news doesn't make the bad things stop happening unfortunately. Usually when people are not aware of them, they actually get worse.
I do understand where you're coming from though, as I have actually lost sleep over a few things lately.

Well as Clint Eastwood said as Dirty Harry, "A man's got to know his limitations".
I'm afraid lately I've met mine in terms of how much news I can digest without it severely effecting my attitude toward life.
At some point you have to realize that worrying and stressing over the things in the outside world doesn't change anything but my own life expectancy and quality of life.
A person has to seek a balance. Too much of anything or not enough of something else can be dangerous for your health. __________________

Burying your head in the sand doesn't make it go away Tim. It's gonna find a way of getting your attention, most are worse than getting a warning. __________________

No you can't ignore everything but from experience you have to know when to stop thinking about something to much. Of course I'm speaking as a sometimes obsessive compulsive. Once I get something on my mind it's hard to get it off. Work's well with getting a job done, but it's terribly nerve wrecking on things I have no control over. __________________

I agree and I'll even go further and say it's worse to obsess over something you have little to no control over. The problem here though is that between the economy and our war efforts/globalization it's like driving down the highway and having a choice between accidents to stare at-it's awfully hard to look away. __________________
