But the backdrops peel and the sets give way and the cast get eaten by the play, there's a murderer at the matinee, there are dead men in the aisles
And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

I'll have to watch the rest of these later. Got the first two. Interesting because police sometimes go overboard. I'm not worried about the drug part but I know of a older family man never in trouble that got arrested for just asking what he had done. The cop arrested him for resisting arrest. I don't know all the details, but the guy wouldn't hurt a fly and basically it all started over a speeding ticket or some such.
Some cops are just badge heavy. __________________

Many cops are that way, and it's a dirty shame it refelcts on the good ones the way it does.
Here's a very simple rule of thumb-the good cops don't give two squirts about going a couple miles over the speed limit. If you get nailed for doing 5 or 10 over the limit-it's almost always an asshole. Maybe he doesn't like getting saddled with radar duty or such, but it's still almost always far more drama than it should be. __________________

I've had a cop say to me he hated when people slow down every time he gets behind them which I understand, but for every cop that feels that way there's another cop that is just itching to write you a ticket for any amount over the speed limit. __________________

Hmm from part 3 interesting learned fact.
Even touching an officer could be a felony. That's a little ridiculous. An overly friendly person could be arrested for a pat on the back or possibly a hand shake.
Shouldn't have to be a lawyer to have an average encounter with a police officer.
The kids look like they need to be busted of something at the end of this video. __________________

Watching last video,
Oh what a valley girl.
So funny, "That's right Valeria getting busted is no fun!"
It's like a public service announcement for druggies. It's hilarious.
Still I did learn some educational information.
Figures though the ACLU types would make videos less for the average guy not doing anything wrong and more for kids taking drugs and what not.
So if I understood it right a police man can search you if they arrest you. Wouldn't that make them more likely to arrest you then? __________________

If you've just been pulled over and the cop tells you to exit the vehicle and you can't resist the urge to shake their hand or pat them on the back, you must be mentally ill and probably deserve to be tazered and doused with pepper spray.

You said yourself you learned some things. Stop hating.

Someone getting arrested just to be searched? Maybe, but not highly likely. You'd have to piss off a cop pretty good for all that, like trying to shake their hand or pat them on the back when they're asking you questions... __________________

Well I guess it seems more likely that you'd shake a cop's hand where I live because everyone sort of knows each other. Like cops go to my gym. __________________

It keeps slipping my mind how different our surroundings are in some cases. The section of NJ I live in is just people on top of people on top of more people. I might run into a cop I know personally maybe once every four to six months here. __________________

I guess you probably look at people quite the same there. Even here though people are starting to get less friendly than they used to be. Either that or I just look cranky when I meet people sometimes. __________________

I live in a small town, and I know hardly anyone. Everyone that lives on my street--I don't know a single one of them. They're all strangers to me. People aren't that friendly down where I live. Which is in the country. __________________

I'm very sorry to hear that Steve. Have you made the attempt to get to know any of them or is it just not worth it? __________________

Well, I go jogging down the street almost every day. But no one is ever out there. If they were, I'd say "howdy neighbor!" but I never get the chance. __________________

I have to point out that this is not them being unfriendly and maybe just a timing issue on your part, if these people do actually come outside at all for more than two minutes at a time.
How about in town? People gotta shop for groceries and gas and such. You're bound to run into them there. __________________

That's true. Some people just moved in the house just about a minute's walk from my place about two weeks ago, but I haven't met or seen them yet.

Yeah but I don't know them. You only time I see them is when I drive by them on the road. __________________

My suggestion is gonna be a rough one then. If you want to see if they're actually friendly or not, you've got to park the car and get out and meet them. Start easily by being a regular at a local shop, perhaps a diner, preferably for you would be a local comic shop, not to mention your local church(c'mon now, those should be easy ones to start). Donate blood, visit a rec center, go to open houses, join a club, volunteer at a local hospital or nursing home, etc etc etc. You have hundreds of possibilities to meet these people if you look for them.
It does sound to me like you're gonna have to make the effort if you want any sort of reward resembling new friends. __________________

How can you not have a comic shop? Find one, immediately.
Churches have breakfasts, dinners, socials and events all the time and waitresses are some of the easiest people in the world to make friends with. You're off to a good start even with limited opportunities.
For me personally, aside from school, I made some of my closest friends sitting in the local diner. I started by bringing my weekly comics in and just reading(and this was before they were 'cool' reading material because of hit movies). I made good friends with one person by commenting on their Danzig T-shirt(if that's any sign of my age)-it was a long sleeve T similar to the one I had from Alice in Chains. Becoming a regular I started hanging with the owner and the waitresses. I'd occasionally run to the supermarket for them and as a goof they let me wait on other friends one night-fun stuff.
It's hard at first, and I say that a former total introvert, but it's completely worth it. Worst case scenario with the diner is you catch up on some reading, while someone refills your coffee cup for you.
Go for it. __________________

Go to church and if it's a good church the folks will all want to know who you are and shake your hand and junk. My church has like dinners all the time afterwards. I never go though to dinners just go to sunday school and regular church on sunday morning.
I'd like to find some church basketball team or something to play in. Got football with the fellas at the gym, but half the time it's called on a count of rain. __________________
