Political Discussion / Politics / Health Matters / Estrogen in the Water

As a guy constantly striving to get into shape I occasionally run into news both good and bad on the health front. Today I just happened to see some body builder on the 700 Club state that estrogen is in the water supply and to drink distilled water with minerals.

Not happy to take only one man's word for it I did a search at google and yahoo for estrogen in the water. First I found out that there is indeed reports of estrogen in the water.

First tap water -

Just do a search on "estrogen in water" You'll find all kinds of links.

So I'm like ok well I drink bottled water, but wait that's not safe either. A study in Germany finds that bottled water has estrogen in it due to the plastic and even some in glass bottles. I don't think I've even seen glass bottles around where I live.

Again do a search for "estrogen in bottled water" and you'll find a lot of links on the report.

But nothing I mean nothing on what the heck to do about it. I doubt seriously that a water filter can get rid of all the crap in tap water.

One report I read said girls are maturing physically at faster rates. The report about the fish said male fish are becoming female. Just think what that's doing to men in this country and around the world. Doesn't take a genius to do the math. No wonder men are getting more feminized all the time.

At the very least the general health and well being of men and women has been compromised, and is just one more possible reason that obesity is on the rise.

Oh and about Distilled water I've also read that you should definitely make sure it has minerals in it or it can rob you of important minerals in your body over time. Soft drinks are made of just regular distilled water.

Any links on safe water to buy at the store would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to research that. It could be very beneficial to you.

Well throw in the fact TVA dumped a ton of ASH accidentally into our water supply I just can't see a filter getting rid of everything which includes asbestos, radioactivity, all kinds of metals. I only drink bottled water because of it.

Try this then- get a filter on the tap and one of the pitchers. Pur and Brita are inexpensive and I think if you try them, you'll never go back to bottles except out of convenience while you're out. Keep in mind that the bottles are part of our gas problem as well on top of what it does to the water in them.

I found out that by looking at the bottom of the water bottles if it doesn't have a 7 recyclable number it shouldn't have BPA in it at least. http://trusted.md/blog/vreni_gurd/2007/03/29/plastic_water_bottles

I don't think any filter could get out all the metals in our water.
