I know in the past I haven't fussed about cameras being everywhere but the more I think about it the more I don't like it now. I'm of the mind not to drive in some cities where every block is rigged with a camera to catch you. Miss one light and boom, big ticket. Next they'll be looking for seat belt use, and whatever else they want to ticket you for. __________________

I don't know how popular EZ Pass is by you, but just in case you don't know, it's an electric card reader that scans a small device you keep in your car. The convenience angle is that instead of paying tolls on a daily basis, you receive a monthly bill instead, along with the occasional discount on the tolls. Here's the catch though; it checks how quickly you go from toll to toll and if they catch it, you could get a speeding ticket in the mail. All you need now is to add the RFID chip to the mix all the precious freedom of anonymity is all but gone forever- we'll actually be living in that Stallone film 'Demolition Man'. __________________

And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

I don't like that either. Crazy stuff. Just more ways for the government to reach into our pockets. Just an excuse for them. __________________

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned the funny timing of YouTube before. They've done it again. Found this in my subscription box today.
Quote: What does the world's emerging big brother, 1984 style surveillance society hold for the future? Discussed in the video are cctv security cameras, spy drones, warrantless wiretapping, internet surveillance, rfid chips and other forms of new dictatorial surveillance. These technologies and corporations behind them are setting the precedent for more government control over our lives in the years to come. If you have the mindset that if you do nothing wrong then there's no need to worry, think again.

That welcome is about a century late...
I just picked this up for giggles, and can't tell whether to laugh or cry over what I'm reading:

Point of order, socialism has little to nothing to do with constant observation. You can be observed in a capitalist society (and obviously we are) just fine.
I know socialism is a fun catch all, just like facism on the other end of the debate, but these words do have specific meanings and should be applied approrpriately.
thanks, it's my firs post and I'm already annoying people.

Here the more you annoy the more successful you are.
Except for the occasional nut jobs that cuss more than they discuss. Don't like that at all. __________________

Yes, cuss in the right proportions and everyone's happy. __________________
