But the backdrops peel and the sets give way and the cast get eaten by the play, there's a murderer at the matinee, there are dead men in the aisles
And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

My opinion on the video subject war on drugs is that to me the biggest point that needs to be addressed immediately is the abuse of power of the authorities. This is not only found in areas of drug wars. It is ridiculous for a swatt team to raid a home based only on a informants word there might be drugs there. Even if there were, a normal orderly non-violent search should be the norm unless they do in fact believe there are armed dangerous drug dealers in the home. Our founding fathers were firm believers in the law protecting a citizen's rights and not taking away those rights in a person's own home.
As far as drugs go, you got to draw the line somewhere. There are dangerous drugs out there that ruin families and destroy lives. I've heard one policeman from our gym tell me you see people in their early 30s on deaths door because of some of this stuff with their teeth all rotted out, skin and bone etc.
But again I think what needs to be taken here is that police need to be a lot more restrained in their approach. That's the biggest fundamental issue here for me. Do I want to go back to the 60s and 70s which spawned Dirty Harry movies. No, cops need to be able to defend themselves against real crooks, but they need to be trained to know the dangerous bad guys from normal citizens or even non-violent offenders. Next thing you know they'll be pulling guns out against jay walkers. __________________

Oh interestingly enough I'm studying Business Law right now, and the definition of what law is supposed to consist of is "rules established by the government to maintain harmony, stability, and justice."
It's a delicate balance and I think the justice part is particularly lacking these days. __________________

If a society is supposed to be free, a person should be able to put anything they want in their own bodies. It's not up to the government to play surrogate nanny. They do it strictly as a stream of revenue, which is obscene.
Quote: rules established by the government to maintain harmony, stability, and justice."
The government should be acting in the interest of the people they represent, not on their own behalf. I think that's the main part of the problem. You can have the appearance of harmony and stability in a dictatorship. The problem with that though, is that it's still a dictatorship.
The idea of justice is the tricky one though. Just going under the heading of murder, what is justice? There's nothing you can do to bring the victim back to life. An eye for an eye makes for poor harmony as well, especially with a legal system that literally swims in beauracracy and red tape. The last option is to house and feed the villain on the tax payer's dime, which is hardly just on the taxpayers. I've yet to see an actual form of justice here, and this is with straight forward murder. never mind all the other shades of gray the law has an umbrella over.
Good luck with that law course. __________________

It's funny, but I thought you would have been a natural with nutrition of all things. (pun slightly intended)
Why such a varied range of subjects at the same time? Am I missing a connection between them? Are you opening a GNC or something? __________________

It's the set up the teacher has got. It's an online class and she's got like 500 different things for us to read on orientation and etc. It's filled with so much info I can't figure out what my assignment is.
I like classes that tell you one thing at a time for the most part. Like read this chapter and take the quiz. That I can deal with. Projects with instructions thrown all over the place I can't take.
About taking lots of classes well I'm really interested in health and I was really going forward with being a dietitian, but recently I got to leaning toward business. Lot less distance to a bachelor's degree I think with all the stuff I've gotten.
I just want to make some money now, and the faster the better. __________________

Not that I'm the expert but running a business just for money's sake is a bit like slavery and you're gonna probably feel just like that after a short time if that's all it's for. Map it out. Have a strategy of some sort and some goals. __________________

Well my websites were doing so well the last decade. I was able to make a living but now I got to do something to supplement. You know the old saying never put all your eggs in one basket. I guess I wish I had went to school while working on my sites the last decade. __________________

Warren Buffet says it's ok to put all your eggs in one basket as long as you watch that basket carefully. __________________
