Amen.

But the backdrops peel and the sets give way and the cast get eaten by the play, there's a murderer at the matinee, there are dead men in the aisles

And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

I agree with Boortz

Quote:
The Court also rejected two religion cases. One was whether religious groups should be required to cover contraceptives for employees. The other was whether or not religious groups could worship in public libraries. Since the Supremes won't rule, I will.

Nobody should ever be required to provide anyone with contraceptives.
Religious groups should be able to worship in public libraries so long as the libraries are open to all religious groups. Muslims and Wiccans included.

Surprised? I do try to be consistent.

Fair enough …

But the first ruling is consistent with state laws. I would agree with you in the second, but there aren't other groups clamoring to get in. Probably because they have their own places to worship.

But at the end of the day, tax payer money shouldn't support religious activity.

Neal Boortz is a dirtbag, by the way. I'm surprised you'd cite such a myopic and xenophobic cunny.

Most of the liberal views I've heard on this point take it way too far. If anyone is allowed to use a library then someone wanting to have a bible study for instance shouldn't have a problem no more than if they wanted to use it to study bicycle repair manuals.

What? How so?

You take everything to far. You think someone praying at a football game is the same as forcing another person into a religion. It's speech, speech that's supposed to be free, but you'd rather have a communistic state.

You think some buddist kid if there was such a person in smalltown, tn, is going to have mental problems the rest of their life because they heard somebody say Jesus name in a capacity other than a swear word.

Like I said libs, especially groups like the aclu have gone way too far beyond any reasonable argument in their crusade to rid the world of God. Whatever happened to old fashioned common sense.

When have I said that? Again, you conflate public commons with with state. You're starting to sound like a communist.

And how's this about me? The Supreme Court, which your president apparently has fixed, decided no to weigh in on the church group, thereby allowing the lower ruling to stand. They are not allowed to preach up a public library, nor are any other religious groups.

Even the conservative Supreme Court believes in the separation of church and state. You tried to turn the argument on me, but I was passing along a news story about the Supreme Court.

What can I say? Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn occasionally.
