This is the best way I know to illustrate the difference between libs and conservatives. This joke says it all.
Hillary Clinton and Conservative Fred Thompson
were walking along one day when they ran into a poor man. Fred gave him a 20 dollar bill with directions to the nearest unemployment office.
Hillary and Fred continued on till they ran into another poor man. This time Hillary decided to help. She reached into Fred's pocket and grabbed his 20 dollars, took out 15 for adminstrative purposes and gave the poor man a 5 dollar bill with directions to the local federal welfare building. __________________

A newspaper cartoonist once depicted former prez Ronald Reagan looking out the window of his bullet-proof limo at a homeless man living in a cardboard box. "Why does he live like that when he could live like us?" the prez asked. The cartoonist intended to illustrate that Reagan's belief that everyone could lift themselves up by their bootstraps, like they do in the movies, was ridiculous and that it was the president, not the homeless man, who was delusional.

Fred wouldn't have given that man a penny and you know it Tim. He saves his charity for big business. Why have social healthcare when you let the Fed buy a mortgage company? Much better.

Hey spockman do you think Reagan was just born a President and an actor? I think he had to actually go out and get it don't you?

Everybody has opportunities in America to work their way up. Reagan wasn't handed everything he earned. The truth is most poor people in America are poor because of choices they made. Not all, but most. That's just the way it is. __________________

You have the choice of continuing your education. Yes it's difficult and almost impossible in some situations ,but still some continue through college even when they have to work and go to school at the same time, and some do that while taking care of their kids.
Some folks are poor because they just don't care. They don't work, or won't try to improve their lot in life just because they don't want to.
Some people screw themselves over with alcohol and drugs and just can't get out of the addiction enough to work.
On and on I could go, but 9 times out of 10 people are homeless because of choices they made. Not every time, but most of the time. It's hard to imagine anyone being homeless forever if they truly wanted not to be. __________________
