And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

I think you're on to something Hockyman. The only distiction I would make is that while the Republicans are great at denying reality, the Democrats are better at avoiding it.
Case in point: a recent bill regarding the NSA wiretapping, passed before the extended august vacation no politician in living memory deserves.
While the R's were totally cool with watering down the rights of individuals, the D's folded faster than Superman on laundry day in spite of the previous months of speeches regarding how detrimental this bill was to our civil rights.
So for the coming 6 months, the authority to have our government spy on American citizens without warrents or oversite was handed to- of all people,- then Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez.
If they didn't like putting up a soldier for the night or paying taxes on tea, the founders would have been gathering the troops on that one. Good riddance Alberto; please hurry up 1.21.2009.

starting to notice that a lot too..always been a rep. since i was 18 but now I just don't know who anymore...quite frankly sick of them all...i think the last good pres. we had was Regan but i was 7yrs to whatever, George SR, didn't impress me much, or BOB DOLE, all of the Dems. ANd REP. Need new fresh somthing out there...wheres General (bare with me) Shwartzcoff or Tommy Franks??? Heck i'm ready for Eastwood. __________________
