It's a wonder how these very wealthy famous people can get so confused about spiritual matters.
I think it's like the Bible says that it's easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than it is for the rich to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Not that rich people can't go to heaven, but the more self sufficient people become the less they tend to believe in God. In this case Oprah is creating her own god. She's not going to the Bible, studying, and asking questions. She's creating ideas in her own mind without referencing the Bible at all.
She's says she can't understand that God is a jealous God.
All she has to do is read the Bible and see that is true.
Exodus 20:5 -
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Ex 34:14 -
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
De 4:24 -
For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
De 5:9 -
