Political Discussion / Politics / Politics and Entertainment / Female President on 24

Oh my gosh, 24 is going to have a female president. Please don't tell me this is like a forecast of Hillary's chances.
read the story

Has 24 jumped the shark, or just getting with the times? I'll bet she ends up being conservative so as not to copy Hillary that much.  Too bad Fred Thompson couldn't play the President on 24 and run for President at the same time. Now that would be cool!

24 had a black president first(two already now) and it had nothing to do with Obama. It's just storytelling.

And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

I didn't think it was that bad.

This season and the last were the best they've had since the first season. You missed out Zod.

Let's push the envelope and teach Jack how to use the shield. There's a photoshop opportunity if I ever saw one.

how can you say these past 2 seasons were the best pakman? i think those were the worst. they were so unrealistic. the show has never been that real realistic, but at least the first 3-4 seasons were fun to watch so you kinda forgot how fake they were. this season, i think the writers and actors were just going through the motions.

I love 24, but I do wonder something. Why is it Jack always has to use torture to get the answers. In the old spy shows they always used truth serum. Don't they have that anymore? I'm pretty sure truth serum really exists doesn't it? Seems like they used it in WW2.

Ok, and Jack should investigate the death of Captain America.

truth serum is "sodium pentathol" i believe. it is used but i'm not sure if it's as good as what you would see on t.v. and movies. remember they used it in lethal weapon 3, in the dentists office with the old chinese guy?

So that's why Jack doesn't use it, it doesn't work as well as torture.

I say the last two seasons were great for the same reason you hate them Zod. It's a personal preference.

What they used in the dentists office in LW3 was laughing gas which is why they couldn't stop laughing.

I'd just rather see a Jack Bauer type become Captain America than a Frank Castle type. If Mattro can have wrestlers fighting Kryptonians in his world, dammit, Jack Bauer can be Captain America in mine.
