The ferry scene deserves it's own topic. Did you get the notion that if either side pulled their trigger they'd blow up their own boat?

Could you have pulled the trigger on the other boat?

But the backdrops peel and the sets give way and the cast get eaten by the play, there's a murderer at the matinee, there are dead men in the aisles

And the patrons and the actors too are uncertain if the show is through and with sidelong looks await their cue, but the frozen mask just smiles

That's exactly what I thought was going to happen. So if I was on the boat I would have said," screw this I'm not doing anything that nut the Joker says. He's lied all the way through this movie."

If you were on the boat, how would you know what happened in the rest of the movie?

Right, forget I mentioned that. Let's just say you never trust a murderer anyway. That's just common sense. The people in the movie seemed to just automatically assume this nut job was telling the truth. I forgot why didn't anybody jump off the ship? Was that one of the Joker's stipulations?
