Allan Keyes should have been the first black man to be a major party nominee for President. He's got a lot of guts and says what he believes without trying to be political. If it weren't for the way race is stacked up in politics that is there are more blacks in the democrat party at this point than the republican party, then I believe somebody like Keyes would have had a much greater chance.

He's telling the audience to vote for the better Christian, and apparently wants to legislate his faith.
Judging by who got elected, guess who does not agree with you on this guy besides myself.
He's also wrong for advancing the idea that there is no seperation of church and state anywhere in the Constitution, regardless of who agrees with him.
The audience laughed at the same time I did, when he gave his rationale for 'logical incest'. Self-righteousness doesn't seem to be a winning platform for any election, and this guy is the posterboy for just that. __________________

Well they laughed at Noah right before the big rain came down, so I'd be careful to judge.
Maybe he's not being self righteous but just confident in his beliefs. Isn't it about time somebody believed in something besides just bigger government? __________________

Means what to me?

No maybe about it, that's beyond confidence. Confidence means not having to tear someone else down to build yourself up. He's as self righteous at the day is long.

You're assuming there is a risk. I don't make such assumptions. __________________

You are assuming there's not. Look if you and few hundred others told me there's a fire in walmart. I sure wouldn't take a chance on going in. I'd go to k-mart. I'm telling you there's a hell for those that don't accept Christ. Your choice to believe it or not, but it's a mighty big chance to just ignore the warning if you ask me. Personally, I'd at least look into it and not assume I already knew everything there was to know on God and the whole freakin universe. __________________

Wrong again. There is not enough evidence for me to believe it, so I don't believe. It's not the same as blind allegience to someone else's ideas.

You'd have more than sufficient evidence of the claim. This is not the same thing.

Right next to the one for people who don't follow Allah, down the block from the ones who don't ppease Zeus, etc etc etc.

I'm not takin any chances. All it takes is accepting one truth. A little faith and there you go. Sometimes being stubborn isn't always a good thing. __________________

Done my homework Muslim faith which was created by a guy that couldn't read or write. Their leader had to dictate words to be written into the koran. I find it difficult to assume that God would work through someone that way; especially when everything he said contradicted everything Jesus said. __________________

That exactly what I think about Islam too, and Judaism, and Christianity. You're still taking the same 'risk' I am. __________________

You know pal, the only reason people choose atheism is that I believe boils down to pride. An atheist will not bow their knee to God. It's not that they believe somewhere deep down, but that they can't stand the thought of lowering the pride just a bit and humbling themselves to God. You got a beef with the Almighty not with Christians. __________________

is because they weigh the evidence and find it lacking.
Figure out why you're not Jewish or with Islam, and you'll understand why I'm not a Christian. __________________

I agree that that has something to do with it, but allow me to add to it.
An atheist professor named Thomas Nagel once said, "It isn’t just that I don’t believe in God naturally, I hope there is no God! I don’t want there to be a God; I don’t want the universe to be like that." __________________

Nagel sounds like Hitches, a self proclaimed anti-theist. They are both entitled to their wants and beliefs and neither one speaks for me or any other atheist. __________________
