I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can’t dictate the terms He does because  He is the leader. I can’t vote black because I am black, I have to vote Christian because that’s who I am. Christian first, black second.  Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won’t be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

Instead of trying to change this society to his preference, away from what everyone or anyone else wants, he should maybe consider moving to one more suitable to his tastes, like Iraq.

All he was saying basically is that based on his Christian beliefs and Obama's beliefs he cannot vote for him.

He's urging people to look at Obama's record not his skin color.

Am I missing something here? Is he under the impression that Mr. Obama would be better for the economy but worse on other issues?

No I believe this statement is based on the media's claim that more Americans believe Obama better on the economy than McCain. He's saying even if you believed this all the other issues would outweigh the economic ones.

He's actually saying we're doomed if we get these issues and a few others wrong, therefore economics won't be a concern when we're doomed. It's not actually the issues themselves being balanced one against another.

On that note, I am curious to hear exactly what a 'Christian vote' is to a Christian.

To me it's voting on moral issues over economic. For instance one of the reasons I'm voting for McCain is because of his record on abortion.
