She's got guts to go on there. Talk about nerve wracking. She's got my vote. Oh you knew that already. Already did the early vote thing.

Boy did you waste yout vote.

I don't know about nerve wracking, but she even scored a few points with me for doing the show.

Tim didn't waste his vote spock.

Not me. She looked like a fool. Too stupid to realize she was being mocked.

Maybe not if you wanna get all philosophical about it. But in reality, that's another story.

Really? Seriously, I think she carried herself better in this public appearance than any other she's done. Especially in that pre-recorded bit with Alec Baldwin mistaking her for Tina and 'Caribou Barbie' and all.

As for Tim's vote. In reality, with the present two party system and electoral colleges, and attempted controversy with Acorn by the GOP side-everyone's vote can be considered wasted right now. That's the philosophical ends right there for our election in the US. In reality he stuck by his party and did actually vote versus all the talkers out there that wind up not voting(usually claiming the not voting part is a statement of some kind).

Wait until you see how I'm wasting my vote. You can probably guess already but I'm leaving it there for now.

This seemed appropriate here, just for where the conversation led us.

Another fine example of why the electoral colleges gotta go.

Sounds pretty reasonable pak. What you said, not seen the video yet.

All the electoral talk from the video depends on the accuracy of the polls. You yourself pak said polls can't be believed.

The electoral college is an actual measurement of attainable 'points'-it's a game. While the story might change by how people actually vote instead of the popularity contest part of it, it's the actual game part that is so very wrong. Because of those points, my vote is not equal to someone from Pennsylvania this year. A big part of what is wrong with this pale remnant of the real government we once had. This country needs an enema.

Well I don't know. I trust the judgement of our founders. They came up with the best form of government in the history of the world. No need to start doubting them now.

.....?

Maybe you have not noticed but the present state of politics and government we have now is absolutely not what the founding fathers intended. Your statement, while being something we can all agree upon, has nothing to do with what we were actually talking about.

I'm just saying the founders came up with electoral system. Sounded like you wanted to do away with it.

In reference to the electoral college? It's time has long passed, and it's present abuse is intolerable. Yes, I absolutely want it gone. It was perfect for it's time, but with modern media and technology and communications, it's time now to move on to something better. Though I have no idea what exactly would be better at the moment, I cannot express strongly enough the need to start figuring it out, for the betterment of our country.

Well I for one do not trust the judgment of modern day politicians to come up with something better. They'll just screw it up.

That's why we are in the economic mess we are in. Politicians keep trying to make things better. They should just sit down and shut up and wait for instructions from the voters. If they didn't get the brilliant idea to give homes to those that cant' afford it the mortgage crisis wouldn't have happened.

That sounds dangerously close to you agreeing that a change is needed, and if so, great.

Did you borrow McCain's speech writer?

Is this the same 'they' that rakes people at the pump? Our economic 'crisis' has many sources and many folks to blame. It was not just getting people affordable housing(which is what they were trying to do, not 'put them in houses they couldn't afford' Mr spin).

Barney Frank up to the President decided to force lending institutions to lower regulations on giving out loans. That' was a big part of our crisis. Add to that higher gas prices too of course.

We were taken off the gold standard by someone else.
That's where absolutely everything begins for our current economical woes. Look it up.

The bad ol puddy tat had a lot to do with our current problems. And the gas prices.

We need our own oil. And government needs to stop forcing business to do things that aren't smart financially.

For one if you loan money to high risk individuals then figure on losing that money most of the time. That's just common sense.

I think all loans should be fixed rate too by the way. Poor people who are at risk anyway are just more likely to go belly under when you increase the amount of money they have to pay every month.

You give Sylvester there far too much credit.

Really-Federal Reserve, main culprit.

Sylvester is currently in office and needs to meet the bulldog. In other words the voters need to understand what kind of cartoon character they've elected and boot him out before he eats the bird.

We have far bigger fish to fry, but if you want to focus just on him for some reason, go right ahead.

Maybe we should focus a bit better then on what we're talking about.
