Went and saw it with my dad today. He's a big war buff. We enjoyed it. I recommend it.

Set in WWI. It's about Canadian soldiers. And a bit of a love story. The battle of Passchendaele was a very famous battle.

It honestly looks like every other war film I can think of. Sorry. On a more positive note though, we don't get too many films about Canadian warriors around here, so it does have this going for it. If I see it in my video store I might give it a look.

It's not 'Platoon' or 'Saving Private Ryan' but don't mistake it for garbage like 'Pearl harbor' or that sort of crap.

Hate to tell you, but when his girlfriend says 'don't die', Pearl Harbor was one of the first movies I thought of. Armageddon actually flashed through my mind briefly as well-make of that what you will.
