I want to keep this thread at the top till Obama leaves in 4 years.
Because I want to see if Obama, for instance, lowers taxes for anyone.
I want to see if he does indeed create higher power bills by attacking coal plants.
I want to see if we have less violence in the world or more.
I want to see if he in cahoots with the Dems winds up killing talk radio. If that happens the net is next. The dems like to compare talk radio to porn if you can believe that. As if people can see through that illogical comparison.
Well I'm sick to my stomach today, but there is no need to panic I guess. Time to just take one day at a time. __________________

Definitely keep it around so we can hold him accountable for every word of it.
I can tell you right now he's not lowering taxes for anyone. With all the BS going on presently, no elected official could be expected to-especially one that supported the bailouts and has no serious evident problem with our government spending or keeping the Fed well-fed. McCain would have been absolutely no difference here.
He wants to upgrade coal plants, not attack them. Watch the vid above for energy.
Bless my liberal heart but I believe tensions will start to decrease already just by the announcement of his win. Whether that's anti-Bush or pro-Obama is yet to be seen. History will tell.
He might actually kill all news entertainment if they have nothing to latch onto. Though I'm sure the real spin doctors will fight like hell to make things up, just in their own self interest, instead of informing the public like they supposely should.
We still have weeks before he takes office so remaining calm sounds like a great plan for now. Bush can still do damage before he leaves yet. __________________

I agree with you on that one.
On the video he over simplifies. We have people running around having heart attacks on the 10 commandments being posted or somebody even mentioning the name God in schools for fear the children might read the commandments and obey them. O my, what if they obeyed, "Thou shalt not kill"?
I'm afraid Obama wants to get into churches and stop the so-called prejudiced views he doesn't agree with. I can see the hate crimes crap being pushed to the point where preachers go to jail for preaching on homos. Freedom of speech is going to be hurting the next 4 years. __________________

He explained it very clearly. Maybe someday you'll understand that keeping church and state seperate actually protects the church and church-goers, mosque and mosque-goers, synagogue and synagogue-goers and other denominations and nonbeliever alike. __________________

Tell that to the founders.
Think of it this way if our founders wanted even the very mention of God out of the public arena then why did they mention Him at every available instance? __________________

Neither Obama or myself has mentioned once taking the 'very mention of God out of the public arena'.
Freedom of speech is actually pretty important to me, so I don't advocate infringing on anyone's right here.
This is not what we were talking about. __________________

People like Obama don't necessarily try to sound like radicals when they are speaking, but actions speak louder than words and the ACLU of whom I'm sure he is fond has taken a lot of action against the very mention of God. __________________

You're the one throwing the ACLU in here. This means you know you're mistaken but are desperate to find a means to a 'win' then, regardless of how shaky the association or lacking in logic it might be?
As a completely nonrelated thing, if you really want to list all the attacks the ACLU has done specifically against the very mention of God, feel free. I'll be glad to look over each one with you and point out any mistakes I find. __________________

Look I'll go out of my way to start posting every time I hear about another court case where somebody is getting into trouble praying or putting up a sign or any other number of gestapo like cases the leftist ACLU and others take against Christians in the name of separation of church and state, if you want to hear about them.
I'm pretty sure you do know they exist. I'm pretty sure I've posted a bunch already.
One ruling pops into my mind where the courts ruled that a school couldn't post the 10 commandments because the students might read them, and might therefore obey them.
Which is the most stupidest moronic ruling I've ever heard, but there you go. __________________

I wouldn't count on Obama lasting for four years. Not just because he a was elected by the media rather than the American people, but because he's already made a fatal mistake by hiring Hilary Clinton for his cabinet.
Clinton, like Obama, would have promised everything up to and including raising the dead of 9/11 to get elected, but the liberal media chose him because of his race and painted him as some political messiah for America. Of course, Obama did nothing but eat up this treatment to make a name for himself in the history books, and I seriously doubt if he can keep 1/10th of all the promises he's made.
But now Clinton, who down in her pea-sized heart despises Obama for taking her nomination, and cares nothing about the good of the American people, has been placed in a position of even more influence, and will sink to any low to slake her lust for more and more power, no matter who will end up suffering for it.
Bottom line is, Obama had best watch his back and remember one thing:
Every messiah has his Judas!

I'm going to be kind for the holiday season, not pick apart your hateful and silly post, and say you actually had something valid in there. This;
Quote: I seriously doubt if he can keep 1/10th of all the promises he's made.
I'd say he'll cover about half though. Look at his entire cabinet- Hillary is one of the least of his worries for a backstabber. The only danger from her specifically is certain media outlets using soundbites from their debates to try and create derision and division.
The real issue with his promises is, for one, that he's a politician and he did have to make rediculous claims strictly as salesmanship. This is one of the ugly factors of modern day politics that all of them do.
Step two is that he simply does not have the authority or funds to carry off a number of things in those promises.
Step three is that the people with real power in the upper upper eschelon will very easily be able to use the excuse of a racial attack to kill him off if he dares to encroach too closely on their favored interests. He will suffer the same fate as Bobby and John F Kennedy, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King jr. Our owners simply won't allow it. __________________

Obama is going to try and please everyone at the same time. Before it's over he'll have initiatives for each opposite side of the aisle.
Question is will he just make everyone not like him after he's done. Of course for every conservative thing he might do I want complain. I'm betting though that most of his conservative agendas will be nothing more than lip service. Nothing of any real substance, but we'll wait and see.
My main worry will be his judge picks and social agendas. After that spending us into oblivion kind of bugs me too.
But until he starts working no use in complaining too much. Once he starts running the country, then I figure I'll have lots to complain about unless of course he does everything right which I kind of doubt. __________________

Here's one other small problem with Obama's promises. For some odd reason it seems to be a support message for Ron Paul at the same time it points some things out about Obama. In either case, it seemed very appropriate here. In case anyone thinks it odd that I'm posting this-I did tell you a while ago and several times since that there were plenty of reasons to not like Obama, just not for the sillyness that was Acorn, Rev. Wright, and William Ayers. I'll even say here to put aside any previous bias you might have and just hear it out fairly to make up your mind on. You decide.

I hate that, "The One" crap that makes me think they are comparing him to Jesus Christ. This video makes him sound like the Anti-Christ.
You know the whole New World Order thing has been something evangelicals have been preaching about since at least I was a kid.
Makes me mad to hear Obama say the Constitution has deep flaws. Like he's smarter than our founding fathers. __________________
